Privacy Policy

The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process your data exclusively on the basis of statutory provisions (GDPR, Austrian Data Protection Act, Telecommunications Act 2021). In this policy we inform you about the key aspects of data processing on this website. For audience measurement we use cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) and – only with your consent – Google Analytics (see below).

Contact form

When you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details (name, email address, your message) are stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. The legal basis is, for business enquiries, the initiation of a contractual relationship (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and otherwise our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not pass on this data without your consent.

Providing your data is voluntary; however, without your name, email address and message we cannot process your enquiry. We delete your enquiry data once the enquiry has been conclusively handled and no statutory retention obligations apply. Enquiries with a contractual context are retained in accordance with statutory retention periods (generally 7 years pursuant to §§ 132 BAO, 212 UGB). No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.

The form is transmitted via the service provider Formspree (Formspree, Inc., USA). The data you enter is transferred to their servers in a third country (USA) and processed there in order to deliver the enquiry to us. The transfer is based on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).

Hosting (Cloudflare Pages)

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA, USA) via the "Cloudflare Pages" service. When the website is accessed, technically necessary access data (including IP address, time, page requested) is processed and stored in server logs, generally for a limited period. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cloudflare, Inc. is based in the USA; this therefore involves a transfer of personal data (in particular the IP address) to a third country. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; an adequacy decision by the European Commission applies to the USA in this respect (Art. 45 GDPR). In addition, Standard Contractual Clauses are in place (Art. 46 GDPR).

Fonts

This website uses fonts that are served locally as part of the hosting. No connection to Google servers is made; your IP address is not transmitted to Google.

External images (Unsplash)

Some of the images embedded on this website are loaded from the servers of the image service Unsplash (Unsplash Inc., USA). This transfers your IP address to a third country (USA). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in an appealing presentation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); the transfer is based on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). Audience measurement – Cloudflare Web Analytics

To measure website usage we use Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare, Inc., USA). This service works without cookies and without client-side state storage; no cookies are set and no cross-device profile is created. Aggregated usage data is collected (e.g. pages viewed, referrer, approximate origin, browser/device type). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in privacy-friendly audience measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). For the transfer to the USA, the statement on Cloudflare under "Hosting" applies (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, Standard Contractual Clauses).

Web analytics – Google Analytics 4 (only with consent)

If you consent in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google Analytics stores identifiers or cookies in your browser and processes usage data (including a shortened IP address, pages visited, interactions such as submitted enquiries or mini-tools used, approximate origin, device/browser data) in order to analyse the use of the website.

The legal basis is exclusively your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021). We use Google Consent Mode v2; without your consent, Google Analytics is not loaded. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

Personal data may be transferred to Google in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision, Art. 45 GDPR); in addition, Standard Contractual Clauses are in place (Art. 46 GDPR). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Google.

Cookies

No technically necessary cookies are set. Google Analytics sets identifiers or cookies only after your consent. We store your consent decision locally in your browser (not a cookie, but "localStorage"). You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer.

Your rights

You generally have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future; the lawfulness of processing carried out up to the withdrawal remains unaffected.
